If $u=x^{y}$ then$\large\frac{\partial u}{\partial x}$ is equal to

\[\begin{array}{1 1}(1)yx^{y-1}&(2)u\log x\\(3)u\log y&(4)xy^{x-1}\end{array}\]

$u= x^y$
$\large\frac{\partial u}{\partial x}$$=yx^{y-1}$
Hence 1 is the correct answer.
