A sphere contracts in volume by 0.05% which taken to the bottom of sea 500m deep.Find bulk modulus of sphere.

The pressure change=Sgh
$S_{water}=10^3kg/m^3$
$P=10^3\times 9.8\times 500$
$\Rightarrow 49\times 10^5$
$\Rightarrow 4.9\times 10^6N/m^2$
$\large\frac{\Delta V}{V}$$=5\times 10^{-4}$
$B=\large\frac{P}{\Large\frac{\Delta V}{V}}$
$\;\;\;=\large\frac{4.9\times 10^6}{5\times 10^{-4}}$
$\;\;\;=0.98\times 10^{10}$
$\;\;\;=9.8\times 10^9$
Hence (B) is the correct answer.
